About the Blog
Setting out to learn about a rapidly changing and developing field can be a challenging task. Seemingly all of the available content on the subject is filled with concepts that you haven’t learned yet, and it can be hard to find resources that are accessible to beginners. With something as prevalent and impactful on our lives as tech policy, it’s important for everyone to be able to understand what’s going on in the world, not just those with law degrees working in the field. The decisions our legislators make about regulating new technology have a significant effect on our daily lives and everyone has a right to know what’s going on.
My goal with this blog is to provide accessible and understandable breakdowns of tech policy news that everyone can understand without needing to spend three years reading case law and getting anxiety about being called on to explain the dissent. While a law degree gives you a deeper understanding of the law and how it works, you shouldn’t need that to be an informed citizen and understand how the law impacts your own life.
Lawyers are not the only ones that are affected by the law. They shouldn’t be the only ones to understand it.
About the Author
I’m a California attorney who graduated from Santa Clara Law in the Bay Area. My time in law school was focused on tech policy and corporate transactions. My time at Santa Clara sparked a respect and interest for the ever-evolving field of tech policy.

I completed courses key to understanding tech policy, such as Internet law, taught by Prof. Eric Goldman, and The Business, Law, Technology, and Policy of Artificial Intelligence taught by Prof. Jess Miers.
In May 2024, I graduated with Santa Clara’s Tech Edge JD certificate, which is a relatively new program at the school that focuses on preparing students for in-house work at tech companies.
In July 2024, I took the California Bar Exam, and in December 2024, I was sworn in as an attorney.
